Release date: November 2003

Saturday 16 August 2003 3pm

Lucy Carolan and John Kitchen come together in an afternoon of solos and duets by François Couperin. Scheduled for release in November this year, pre-release copies of the disc will be available at the concert.

Played on the Russell Collection's Taskin 1769 and Goermans/Taskin 1764/83 instruments this concert offers a unique opportunity to hear two of the UK's top early music interpreters collaborating on the world's most precious instruments.

An intimate reception will be held afterwards in the Laigh Room for Delphian Subscribers and Friends of the Russell Collection. This will be the first opportunity to see the splendid refurbishment which has taken place this year.

August's subscriber instalment

Were you a Delphian subscriber, your pre-release copy of Peter Bradley-Fulgoni's Schumann recital would be dropping through your door any day now.

"On this disc I wanted to explore the diversity of Schumann's creative output in my choice of repertoire... ...Kreisleriana is arguably Schumann's greatest work, dealing as it does with his relationship with pure music and the darkness and philosophy of his inner soul."

Lots of exciting events have been taking place here in the last few months. Approaching August saw more than the usual flurry of activity. Towards the end of September we'll publish a newsletter documenting our recent developments. What cannot wait, however, is our change of address details (to be found at the bottom of this newsletter) and the news that we have forged a distribution agreement with Direct Imports, a long established distributor of innovative independent labels. This partnership will see our product on the bigger retailers' shelves for the first time. I'd like to thank our independent retailers who, hitherto, have been dealing with us direct. Telephone 0845 644 9308 for further distribution enquiries.
