Simon Smith’s astounding debut recording features a kaleidoscope of piano works by Scottish composers James MacMillan and Stuart MacRae. Smith’s fluency in these contemporary pieces is exuberant and definitive, from subtle murmur to virtuosic flourish.

This recording encompasses MacMillan's complete piano oeuvre to date and is the premiere recording of Stuart MacRae's Piano Sonata.

'I'm impressed with the way Simon Smith plays this piece - he brings an extraordinary energy to the first movement and a good deal of sensitivity and shape to the second, and I'm very glad his interpretation has been recorded here." - Stuart MacRae

In November, pianist Peter Bradley-Fulgoni recorded a full programme of Schumann for a future Delphian release.

Bradley-Fulgoni trained at the Purcell School and at the Royal Academy, before further study in Rome, Moscow and London. A frequent performer for Radio 3 broadcasts, he has toured extensively in Spain, Italy, France, Germany, Poland and Russia, where he gave recitals that were featured on Polish and German television. In 1994, he undertook a successful tour of the People's Republic of China. He has and is Senior Professor of Piano at Shrewsbury School.

The forthcoming Schumann project will highlight the depth and breadth of Bradley-Fulgoni's sensitive, intellectual, and breathless performance style.

Purchase a copy of Wilde Plays Chopin at the Wigmore Hall, which Gramophone has called '[w]holeheartedly committed, authoritative and at times dazzlingly virtuosic'!

David Wilde returns to the studio later in 2003 to record a recital of Busoni and Liszt. This revisitation by a renowned Liszt interpreter is sure to cause waves; watch this space.
